Carmel hospital, where she had been a patient since Aug. 9. She had suffered a heart attack before entering the hospital. Mrs. Muse was born April 7, 1884, near Cherokee. She attended Baseline grade school and Girard high school. She lived on a farm near Cherokee until 1938 when she moved to another farm south of Pittsburg. She had lived at 503 West Kansas for the past four years. Mrs. Muse was married Aug. 3, 1909, at the home of her parents near Cherokee. Colonel Muse died July 27, 1957. Survivors include one son, Leroy Francis Muse, 523 West Kansas; one daughter, Mrs. Edith Maxine Sullivan, Los Angeles; three brothers, W.V. Montee, Laurel, Mont., Dr. C. Mart Montee, 111 West Potlitzer, and S. Theo Montee, Girard; five grandchildren and three great-grandsons. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday at the First Christian church. Rev. C.J. Asklins and Rev. Jack Vaughn will officiate. Ted Grassi will sing "Beyond the Sunset" and "The Lord's Prayer" accompanied by Mrs. Fred Wallace, organist. Pallbearers will be Harry Muse, Leonard Muse, John Muse, John Vestal, Mahon Montee, Dennis Montee, Hayward Hite, and Darrell Hite. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery. The body will be taken from the Brenner mortuary to the church at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
