Merrick Manor in Fremont. She was born June 13, 1919, on a farm northeast of Scribner to August and Lenora (Weigle) Uehling. She graduated from Scribner High School in 1937. Merrick Manor in Fremont. She was born June 13, 1919, on a farm northeast of Scribner to August and Lenora (Weigle) Uehling. She graduated from Scribner High School in 1937. She married Ralph White and the couple lived and worked around Wisner until moving to West Point in 1949. She worked at Ocoma Foods until it closed. In 1958, they moved to Fremont where she worked for Campbell Soup Company until she retired after 23 years. After retiring she joined the Senior Volunteer program, helped at the Fremont Senior Center, Dodge County Hospital (now Fremont Area Medical Center), Crisis Center for Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault and the Fremont Care Center (now Nye Pointe), all for 15 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ. She also belonged to the Fremont Aerie Eagles Auxiliary and bowled in three different senior leagues. After Ralph's death in April 1973, she married Ervin Knoell in 1987. He preceded her in death in May 1998. Survivors include: two daughters, Betty (and husband, Clifford) Daberkow of West Point and Sandra (and husband, John) Ringle of Fremont; a son, Kenneth (and wife, Helen) White of Moore, Okla.; daughter-in-law, Kathy White of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Violet Briggs of Lincoln and June Sampson of Fremont; sister-in-law, Dorothy Uehling of Aurora; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son. The Rev. Terri Akkerman will officiate Thursday's service. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont with family receiving friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in Fremont. A memorial has been established to First Congregational Church
