Besides her husband and three young son, Willis age 14; Eugene, age 8; Clifford, age 3, she leaves a mother, Mrs. Mary Cox, three sisters, Effie Brown, Ethel Lacey, Mary Stark and two brothers, W. A. Besides her husband and three young son, Willis age 14; Eugene, age 8; Clifford, age 3, she leaves a mother, Mrs. Mary Cox, three sisters, Effie Brown, Ethel Lacey, Mary Stark and two brothers, W. A. Cox and B. C. Cox, her father having died when she was a small girl. Dora Mabel Seward, the daughter of George W. and Mary Elizabeth Cox, was born Feb. 7th, 1880, at Corydon, Ia., she attended the schools here and when a young girl was converted and became a member of the Baptist church, during Rev. Wagner's ministry. She was united in marriage Dec. 25, 1902 at Corydon to Cary Willis Seward, her school-mate and girlhood sweetheart. In 1915 on account of her failing health they moved west locating in Alberta, Canada; later they moved to Dunkirk, Montana. She was a kind and loving daughter and sister, a beloved wife and mother, and her early taking away will be mourned by all who knew her. Owing to the inconveniences of a far western country, she was removed to a Hospital at Deer Lodge, Montana, Dec. 28, 1920, so that her every want could be properly attended. She was a long and patient sufferer—the last six months she was not able to leave her bed. Her husband and oldest son Willis, besides loving friends were at her bedside, when the end came; though her suffering was unbearable, she always had a smile for those who were near her. She was laid away in Hill Crest cemetery at Deer Lodge, Mont., Dec. 17th, Rev. Glasgow attended the last rites. Hushed were the voices And muffled the tread, Of kind friends who lingered Near my death bed; But they saw not the Angels Who entered unheard, When the world, in its coldness, Says I am dead. Oh tell them I've only been led Away from the night, Away from earth's darkness To heaven's clear light.
