Description	:	HOLTON Dorathea L. Hallauer, 94, of Holton, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Lexington Park Nursing Home in Topeka. She was born January 25, 1917 in Netawaka, the daughter of Edward and Emilie Settgast Eulert. She graduated from Holton High School in 1935 and attended beauty school in Topeka. Dorathea was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Netawaka. She was also a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the Ladies Aid at the church. Hallauer, 94, of Holton, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Lexington Park Nursing Home in Topeka. She was born January 25, 1917 in Netawaka, the daughter of Edward and Emilie Settgast Eulert. She graduated from Holton High School in 1935 and attended beauty school in Topeka. Dorathea was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Netawaka. She was also a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the Ladies Aid at the church. She married Frederic Wesley Hallauer April 27, 1941 at Holton. He died November 22, 1991. They had farmed in the Holton community since 1945. Dorathea was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Joan Martin, who died in 2005, two grandchildren, Jeff Martin and Susie Hallauer, two brothers, Arnold Eulert and Frederick Eulert, and four sisters, Lorene Zibel, Ada Williams, Lucile Eulert, and Edna Greene. Survivors include three sons, Roy Hallauer and wife Kay, Ray Hallauer and wife Sue, and Eric Hallauer and wife Becky, all of Holton; three daughters, Caryn Sheets and husband Larry, and Judy Hamilton and husband Chris, all of Topeka, and Luci Washburn, Millstadt, IL; one sister, Phyllis Upchurch and husband Marvin, Mountain Home, AK, a son-in-law, Don Martin, Burlingame, one sister-in-law, Lila Myers, Topeka; fourteen grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday, March 12th at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Netawaka. Burial followed in the Netawaka Cemetery. Dorathea will lie in state at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton where family and friends met on Friday. Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Netawaka or Faith Lutheran Church, Topeka.
