Snow, 96, of Wauseon, and formerly of Fayette, died Tuesday afternoon, November 18, 2014, at Fulton Manor, where she had been a resident for the past two years. She was born January 22, 1918, to the late Harvey and Edna (Thornton) Bacon. She married Clifford Snow on June 17, 1937, in Fayette, and he preceded her in death on November 4, 1972. Doris helped with the operations of her and Clifford's farm and also worked for the former Fayette Tubular Products for over 20 years. Her greatest joy came from the blessings of her cherished... Surviving Doris are two sons, Roger (Kathy) of Orland Park, IL, and Larry (Sheryl) of Wauseon; two daughters, Janet, of Wauseon, and Myrna (Richard) of Wauseon; a brother, John (Wanda) of Bryan, OH; sister, Pauline of Fayette; sixteen grandchildren;36 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin, Virgil, and Leonard; two sisters, Alma and Mildred; a son-in-law, Jerry Reynolds; and a brother-in-law, Babe Jones A funeral service for Doris will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at the Eagle Funeral Home-Barrett Chapel in Fayette with her son, Larry Snow, officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday afternoon, from 2-8 p.m. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~* The following are condolences left for the family on the funeral home page..... "I have always known Doris as Grandma Snow. She was always a loving person that always had a smile on her face. I recall going with my church group last winter to the nursing home to pass out Christmas ornaments. I had the pleasure of going to her room.
