Memorials have been established to First Presbyterian Church or Fairfield Public Library. Mrs. Martin was born Jan. 29, 1921, in Morning Sun, the daughter of Donald and Hattie Pogemiller Willson. She grew up in Fairfield, attended Fairfield schools and graduated from Fairfield High School and Parsons College. She married Edward A. Martin Nov. 17, 1950, in Council Bluffs. He died Oct. 23, 1995. Mrs. Martin operated the gift department of Martin Drug Store for several years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Chapter MB of PEO, Fairfield Golf and Country Club, Alpha Gamma Delta, and Fairfield Women's Club. Survivors include one son, John Martin, of Cincinnati, Ohio; one daughter, Christine Robinson of Rochester, N.Y.; one stepson, Nick Martin of Avon Lake, Fla.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Berta (sic. Roberta) Ahrens of Keosauqua; two brothers, Roger Willson of Pound Ridge, N.Y., and Phil Willson of Council Bluffs. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Donald Willson; and one sister, Pat Casady.
