Funeral services will be at 2 this afternoon at the 6th Avenue Christian Church in Havre. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Doris was born on June 1, 1923, on the E. C. Carruth ranch west of Kremlin. The family moved south of Burnham, where she attended elementary school. At the beginning of World War II she went to work for Heltne's service station in Havre, becoming the community's first service station attendant and also the first female Teamsters Union member. She later became bookkeeper for Heltnes Oil. In 1944 she married Ben V. Mueller. He died in 1984. She was an accomplished horsewoman and musician. During the 1940s and '50s, she and her mother entertained at country and western dances throughout the Hi-Line area. Survivors include two sons, Gary Mueller of Billings and Dale Mueller of Manila, Phillipines; her mother, Elsie Pams Sherle; a brother, Jim Pasma; and a stepbrother John Sherle, all of Havre; a sister, Goldie Pasma Maze of Helena; a stepsister, Joyce Derbyshire of Kalispell; and two grandchildren.
