| Description | : | Doris Margarite Howell was born 18 September 1923 in Manchester, Ohio. She was the eldest daughter of Oscar Raymond Howell & Esta Marie Francis. Doris married William "Fred" Singleton on 20 January 1947. Four children were born to this union: William "Freddy" Jr. (1947-2007), Terry Wayne (1949-1950), "Johnny" Lee, and a daughter, Donna Jean Grow (1953-2013). Doris & Fred made their home in Mason County, Kentucky early in their marriage. Tragically it was in Mason County that they lost their baby son, Terry in a house fire. They then moved to Manchester where they lived until their passing. |
