In 1875 she was married to John Filter. To this union 8 children were born, 4 of whom preceded her in death, one son and three daughters. In 1891 the family emigrated to America and located near Monroe, Wis., where they resided for 13 years. In 1904 they moved to Bazile Mills, Knox County, Nebraska and made their home with Mr. and Mrs. August Hinzmann, their daughter. Her husband died 10 years ago and four years ago her daughter, Mrs. August Hinzmann died.... In 1904 they moved to Bazile Mills, Knox County, Nebraska and made their home with Mr. and Mrs. August Hinzmann, their daughter. About two weeks ago Grandma contracted a cold and at first it was thought nothing serious until last Friday evening, when she began weakening very fast. She passed away last Friday evening at eleven o'clock at the age of 85 years, 4 months and 20 days. She leaves to mourn her loss 4 daughters and a number of great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church, of which she was a faithful member, on Tuesday afternoon and the body laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev.
