Read More	Dorothy D. Williams, 88 of Council Bluffs, IA formerly of Glenwood, IA was born on June 9, 1924 in Malvern, IA to Fredrick & Augusta (Trively) Cook. She was raised in Malvern and graduated from Malvern High School in 1941. Following graduation, Dorothy taught country school for one year before moving to Shenandoah where she became employed as a secretary for Earl May Seed & Nursery. On Dec. 16, 1945, Dorothy became united in marriage to Robert L. Williams in Glenwood, IA. To this union three sons were born, Terry, Gary & Rick. The family resided in the Hillsdale area before moving to town in Glenwood. She was employed at the Glenwood State Hospital School and was also a longtime employee for Peterson Mortuary. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and made numerous afghans for family and friends. She & Bob also loved visiting and playing cards with friends. First and foremost she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Preceding Dorothy in death were her parents, husband, son, PVT. Gary Lynn Williams (USMC) Vietnam 1966, granddaughter, Monica Shannon and sister, Edna Brown. She is survived by her sons, Terry Williams & wife Anne Fuhrman of Omaha, NE; Rick & wife Sue Williams of Carter Lake, IA; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Dolores Mather of Lincoln, NE; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends. Interment will be held in the Malvern Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Glenwood Fire & Rescue, First Christian Church or St. Jude's.
