Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com. Dorothy was born March 31, 1919 in Doniphan County, the daughter of William S. and Myrtle M. Stark Sultzer. She attended elementary school in Doniphan County until moving to Atchison, where she attended Atchison High School. She and Roy A. Ostertag Sr. were united in marriage on Sept. 10, 1938 in Atchison. Mr. Ostertag preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1986. A homemaker and housewife, Dorothy also served as an Avon Representative during the mid 1950's, living in the north part of Atchison and walking to the south part of town to deliver the Avon orders to her customers. Dorothy was a longtime devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she participated in the Kennedy Callers, Morning Break Group and Pastor's Sunday Morning Adult Bible Class. She was also a member of V. F. W. Post 1175 Auxiliary. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, reading, quilting, playing cards and going to bingo games. Survivors include a daughter, Jeanie (Robert) Kincaid, Leavenworth, two sons, Roy (Eleanor) Ostertag, Atchison, David (Violet) Ostertag, San Diego, Calif., two brothers, James Sultzer, Atchison, Kenneth Sultzer, St. Louis, Mo., 18 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughters, Mary Lou Navinsky, Janie Meyer, a great grandson, Shaun Ostertag, sisters, Ruth Burgoon, Beulah Dobert, and brothers, Bill Sultzer, Jesse Sultzer and Bobby Sultzer.
