Description	:	Dorothy Tobiason, age 87, of Baltimore, Maryland, and formerly of Monticello, died Sunday October 6, 2002 at the Gillchrist Center, Hospice, following a brief illness. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 Tuesday morning, October 15, 2002 at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Monticello with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8 Monday October 14, 2002 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband, Milton, one brother and a sister. Dorothy Eden was born December 27, 1914 at Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of Henry and Emma Ahlrichs, Eden. Dorothy graduated from the Monticello Community Schools in 1932. She then went to Lutheran Memorial Nursing School in Chicago graduating in 1935. Dorothy was a nurse at the Cook County Contagious Hospital in Chicago. Dorothy married George W. Shoop on October 28, 1938. They were divorced in September of 1942. Dorothy married Milton Tobiason on December 27, 1948 at Belding, Michigan. The couple farmed near Monticello. Dorothy also worked as a nurse for Dr. De Shaw and later as a school nurse. Milton preceded her in death on March 1, 1990. Dorothy was a life long member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where she was Baptized on February 3, 1915 and Confirmed her faith on May 27, 1928.
