Description	:	OBITUARY Dr. George F. PENDLETON, 75, of 403 West 68th St., Kansas City, Missouri, died Tuesday, May 05, 1959 at Trinity Lutheran Hospital after two and a half week's hospitalization. He underwent surgery for cancer of the stomach and was in a satisfactory condition when an intestinal condition developed that required surgery, and he gradually worsened. PENDLETON, 75, of 403 West 68th St., Kansas City, Missouri, died Tuesday, May 05, 1959 at Trinity Lutheran Hospital after two and a half week's hospitalization. He underwent surgery for cancer of the stomach and was in a satisfactory condition when an intestinal condition developed that required surgery, and he gradually worsened. Dr. PENDLETON has been a familiar figure in Fairview for many years for his wife is the former Irene SCHILLING daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. L. SCHILLING. For a number of years he has taken care of the business end of the SCHILLING farms, property. Dr. PENDLETON was an obstetrician and gynecologist in Kansas City for about 35 years and had been retired 8 years because of injuries to his hands caused by early experiments with x-rays. Tho retired he had retained an active interest in Medicine and in his hobby of stamp collection. He was born in Findlay, Ohio, and received his medical training at Western Reserve Medical school. In Kansas City he had been on the staffs of Trinity Lutheran, St. Marys, General and Menorah hospital and through the years has held responsible positions in various associations. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Irene PENDLETON; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Maxine PARRISH of 4603 W. 72nd terrace, Prairie Village; a son Frank PENDLETON, Duluth, Minnesota; 7 grandchildren; and a brother, Judge Chester PENDLETON of Findlay, Ohio. Funeral services were held today - a service at the Stine and MacClure Funeral Home in Kansas City, then his body was at Meek's Chapel in Hiawatha from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by graveside services at Hiawatha cemetery.
