Kellar [sic] was born at Monticello, Ill., in May 1858, and died at her home in Loup City, March 26, 1936 at the age of 78 years, after an illness of several months. She was graduated from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Keokuk, Iowa, in 1890. Dr. Kellar followed her profession for a short time in Illinois and later on May 31, 1893, was united in marriage to R. D. Hendrickson, sheriff of Sherman county, making their home in this city. She continued the practice of medicine for 23 years. She was president of the Sherman county Medical Society for a year, and the served as secretary as long as the organization was in existence. Later she retired from practice and lived in retirement during the remaining years of her life. She also taught school a number of years. She was a member of the United Brethren church and was Sunday school organist while in Illinois. Funeral services were held at the Steel funeral home Sunday at 2:30, and burial was made in the Evergreen cemetery. Pall bearers were Drs. A. E. Wanek, Carl Amick, J. E. Bowman, C. A. Rydberg of Litchfield, and C. I. Spannare of Ashton, and Mr. C. J. Tracy. Surviving are two brothers, Jacob Kellar of Hollywood, Calif., and Joseph Kellar of Monticello, and a sister, Mrs. S. M.
