Description	:	OBITUARY: Edna Elizabeth Richardson, 89, of Pawnee City, Nebraska, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at the Pawnee Manor, Pawnee City, Nebraska. She was born to Arthur Z and Lydia (Capitola) Straub on February 4, 1918 in Burchard, Nebraska. She attended school for her 1st and 2nd grades in Burchard, Nebraska and attended high school in Burchard and Pawnee City High School graduating in 1934. Read More	OBITUARY: Edna Elizabeth Richardson, 89, of Pawnee City, Nebraska, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at the Pawnee Manor, Pawnee City, Nebraska. She was born to Arthur Z and Lydia (Capitola) Straub on February 4, 1918 in Burchard, Nebraska. She attended school for her 1st and 2nd grades in Burchard, Nebraska and attended high school in Burchard and Pawnee City High School graduating in 1934. She was employed as a a homemaker for several families as needed from 1934 to 1946. Elizabeth then worked for Dr. Boyer as a night nurse at the Pawnee Hospital for five years from 1946 to 1951. She then worked for Campbell Soup company for 15 years retiring in 1980. Elizabeth was untied in marriage to Arthur Richardson of Pawnee City on February 6, 1951. Arthur passed away on July of 1969. She was a lifetime member of the Christian Church, joining at the age of 23 years. Elizabeth was and active member of Rebekah Lodge #4 NOA for 65 years, long time member of the 20th Century Club, Senior Center, two card clubs, garden club and Extension Club. Elizabeth was preceded in death by parents, husband Arthur, brother Oscar Straub, and sisters, Anna Mae Peacock and Mary Scott. she is survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Elizabeth was a lover of kittens; and if any stray kitten needed nourishment or attention, it could find it in abundance at her home in Pawnee City. Funeral services were Friday, June 15, 2007 at the Christian Church, Pawnee City, Nebraska, with Pastor Duane Westing officiating. Music was provided by pianist, Lyanna Inglis. Interment was in the pawnee City Cemetery, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Memorial may be sent to the Donor's Choice. (from the Pawnee Republican, June 21, 2007)
