She was one of nine children, Lyman F., Geo. L., John T., Hattie L., Hannah R., Alma L., Frank O., and Noah D. She was united in marriage to John H. Bowers January 2, 1884, who preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her departure, son, John T. Bowers of Nodaway, two brothers, Noah Parcher of Burlingame, Washington and Frank O. Parcher of Nodaway, and a host of other relatives and friends. She united with the Church at rooks when a young girl. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church in Nodaway at 2 o’clock, Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. wayne Shelfful. Pall bearers were Ben Baker, Chas. Wood, Clyde Vaughn, Frank Arnott, Fred Carothers, and R. D. Simpson. Music was by Emma Jean and Ross March with Rose Staler as pianist. Flower bearers were Jennie Carothers and Abbie Vaughn. Interment was in the Methodist Grove Cemetery. The Wolfe Funeral Home was in charge. She was one of nine children, Lymas T., George L., John T., Hattie L., Hannah R., Alma L., Noah D., and Frank O. She was united in marriage to John H. Bowers on January 2, 1884 in Adams County. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1941 at the age of 86. Her parents and three sisters and three brothers also preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her departure an adopted son, John T. Bowers of Nodaway, two brothers Noah D., of Burlington, Washington and Frank O. of Nodaway and a host of other relatives and friends. She united with the Christian Church at Brooks when she was a young girl. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church in Nodaway at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. Wayne Sheffell. Pallbearers were Ben Baker, Clyde Vaughn, Charlie Wood, Fred Carothers, Frank Arnott, and R. D. Simpson. Music was by Emma Jean and Rosa March with Mrs. Stalder pianist. Flower bearers were Abble Vaughn and Jennie Carothers. Interment was in Methodist Grove Cemetery. Adams County Free Press, December 18, 1947
