Description	:	Hamilton Evening Journal, Saturday, August 29,1931: "Edward Bauer, Sr., Dies Suddenly Edward Bauer, Sr., 636 Heaton street, was suddenly taken by death Friday afternoon while visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Frisch, in Middletown, where Mrs. Bauer and Russell, a son, were visiting also. Mrs. Frisch is a sister of Mrs. Bauer. Mr. Bauer, a tinsmith by trade and well known in Hamilton, suffered a heart attack a short time ago, but Friday was quite well until suddenly stricken. Mr. Bauer was born in Hamilton January 14, 1867, baptized April 7, 1867, confirmed in the Zion Lutheran church April 10, 1881. Of the Zion church Mr. Bauer was a member all his lifetime. He was united in marriage with Wilhelmina S. Herold, Jan. 16, 1895. He died at Middletown Friday afternoon, August 28, 1931, 64 years, 7 months and 14 days of age. He is mourned by his wife, four sons, P. Herold, Stanley, Russell of Hamilton, Edward, Jr., of Mt. Healthy, seven grandchildren, two brothers, William and John, and one sister, Lydia, of Hamilton, and numerous other relatives and many friends. Friends are kindly requested to omit flowers. The funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the residence, 636 Heaton street, at 2 p.m., at the Zion church at 2:30."
