In 1910 his father Peter died and Edward moved his family to Washington. In January 1929 his wife Katie; daughter Clara ; son in-law Warren Goreham (Nora's husband ) died. In 1940 at the age of 73 Edward remarried and became the 3rd husband of Ollie Mae (maiden Robinson, Warren, Kendall) In 1942 he died at age 75 of pneumonia .
