Description	:	Edward H Briggs BRIDGEPORT - Edward H Briggs, 73, Bridgeport, died Thursday at his home following a sudden illness. Mr Briggs was born Sept 15, 1906, at Potlatch, Idaho, and later moved to Snoqualmie Falls with his family. He married Pearl McClain in 1928 in Bellingham. Following their marriage they made their home in Snoqualmie where he was employed at Puget Sound Power and Light Co. In 1940 he began employment with the Bonneville Power Administration, and in 1945 he and his wife moved to Rock Island. Mr Briggs retired in 1967.Mrs Briggs preceded him in death in 1973. In 1976 he moved to Bridgeport. Survivors include two sons, Donald, Bridgeport and Jerry, Wenatchee; two brothers, James, Whidbey Island, and Chester, Florida; seven sisters, Ruth Barnett and Agnes Briggs, both of Seattle, Sister Anastasia of Chehalis, Verna Otto of Whidbey Island, Elizabeth Downie of Edmonds, Irene Butts of California and Mary McFarlane of Malaysia; his mother, Blanche Briggs, Edmonds; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Barnes Chapel, Brewster, is in charge of arrangements. EDWARD H BRIGGS - Services will be conducted Monday at 1 pm from the Barnes Chapel with Father David Brumbach officiating. Services will conclude at the chapel. Private Interment in the Bridgeport Cemetery. Services are under direction of Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
