Description	:	Boltz, Eileen Marie (Sokolik) passed away peacefully on March 16, 2018. She was born February 8, 1920 in Wilber, NE to Frank and Mary (Finn) Sokolik. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; her sister, Marjorie; her husband, Clifford; and sons, Robert and Kenneth. She is survived by sons, Ronald and Gregory; and daughters, Gayle, Phyllis, and Beverly. Eileen grew up on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation in SD. Read More	Boltz, Eileen Marie (Sokolik) passed away peacefully on March 16, 2018. She was born February 8, 1920 in Wilber, NE to Frank and Mary (Finn) Sokolik. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; her sister, Marjorie; her husband, Clifford; and sons, Robert and Kenneth. She is survived by sons, Ronald and Gregory; and daughters, Gayle, Phyllis, and Beverly. Eileen grew up on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation in SD. She graduated from St. Francis Mission HS in 1938 and married that same year. The family moved to Sacramento on December 1, 1941 when Clifford found work at McClellan AFB. She moved to her present home in 1950. Eileen raised her children with devotion and love. Her activities included 4H, sewing, gardening, and playing the piano. She especially enjoyed card and board games with her children. When the youngest children were in high school, she began a 17-year career in the personnel department at McClellan AFB. After retirement she was actively involved helping to care for her grandchildren. She greatly enjoyed trips to the casinos with her friend, Eleanor LaPointe, and with her three daughters. Eileen was an enrolled member of the Leach Lake band of Chippewas in Walker, MN and was very proud of her Native American heritage. She shared with her children many of the cultural values of her tribe. She will be remembered by all who knew her as kind and generous and always ready with a lively story from the past. A graveside service with be held at St. Mary's Cemetery (6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento) on Saturday, March 31st at 11am, followed by a reception at her home on Cortez Lane.
