Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City, with the Rev. Martin Egging officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Elaine (Peters) Krzycki was born Feb. 11, 1942, at Loup City to Louie and Monica (Skibinski) Peters. She grew up and attended school in Loup City and graduated from Loup City High School in 1960. She continued her schooling and graduated from the Grand Island Beauty School in Grand Island. She moved back to Loup City and operated a beauty shop for a few years. She married Larry Krzycki at St. Josapht’s Catholic Church in Loup City on April 8, 1967. They moved to a farm near Arcadia. In 1983 they moved to Loup City. She went to work for Rose Lane Nursing Home where she worked for 20 years. She was a member of St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church, Sodality Rosary and also taught CCD for a number of years. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved to play bingo, crochet, Husker athletics and her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Larry of Loup City; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Suzy Krzycki of Omaha; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Rob Smith of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren, Zoey and Noah Krzycki and Finn Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Carol Peters of Lincoln, Tom and Donna Peters, Larry and Toni Peters, Bob and Pam Peters, all of Loup City; sisters-in-law, Arlene and husband, Alois, Dzingle of Loveland, Colo., and Jeanne and husband, Jerry, Benker of Grand Island. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Joey and mother-in-law, Clara Krzycki.
