| Description | : | Elise was born in West Prussia to Johann and Lisette (Isaak) Thimm. Her grandfather Franz Thimm, a brother, Franz and a sister, Agathe, died and were buried in West Prussia. The place in West Prussia is today part of Poland, but Elise and her family spoke German. The First Mennonite church near the cemetery had Bibles, sermons and songs in German.
