Read More	Adams County Free Press January 16, 1936 Elizabeth Angus, daughter of John and Jane Angus was born December 17, 1856 at Roxburghshire, Scotland and passed away at her home in Massena, Iowa January 11, 1936 at 3:30 a.m. As a small child she came to this country with her parents who settled in Marshall County, Illinois. In the fall of 1870 the family moved to Atlantic, Iowa and lived there one year. They then moved onto the farm in Victoria township which has been the Angus home ever since. On February 28, 1883 she was united in marriage to William D. Bell in the M. E. parsonage in Atlantic, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Bell moved at once to their own place in Victoria township, remaining on the farm until 1906. They then moved into Massena which has been their home ever since. Two children died in infancy. Surviving beside her husband are three sons, John H. Bell of Massena, Iowa; Wilbur W. Bell of Tekamah, Nebraska; and Harry Dewitt Bell of Chadron, Nebraska; and one daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Lund of Atlantic, Iowa. She also leaves two brothers, Robert Angus who lives on the home farm and John W. Angus of Corning; and one sister, Miss Violet Angus, also living on the home farm. There are six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bell was a member of the Victoria M. E. Church from the time of its organization and was a devoted Christian. She was a loving and devoted wife and her passing will be mourned not only by the members of her family but by a great host of friends. Funeral services were held Sunday from the Methodist Episcopal church at Massena and interment was made in the Victoria cemetery.
