Description	:	Adams County Free Press October 31, 1935 Thomas Angus was born in Ross-shire, Scotland July 6, 1855. He died October 22, 1935, being at the time of his death 89 years of age. When but a mere child he came to this country with his parents. For a short time they lived in Illinois, then came to Iowa and for a few years resided near Atlantic. He died October 22, 1935, being at the time of his death 89 years of age. When but a mere child he came to this country with his parents. For a short time they lived in Illinois, then came to Iowa and for a few years resided near Atlantic. In 1872 the present home became the Angus place and there Tom lived his life, enjoying the companionship of his friends and the farm work which occupied his time. He was a member of the Victoria Methodist church and each Sunday found him a regular and faithful attendant. He enjoyed the confidence and esteem of his friends who respected his integrity and honesty and liked him for his genial kindliness and friendly interest. For the past few years he has been in failing health and for almost a year he has been kept at home where he had the loyal faithful loving care of his sister, Violet, and his brother, Robert, with whom he made his home. Mr. Angus never married. Of his five sisters and six brothers there remain, Mrs. W. D. Bell, Massena, Iowa; Robert and Violet Angus with whom he lived; and John Angus of Corning. He was a good man and his passing is felt by many friend sand the nephews and nieces who will cherish his memory throughout their lives.
