Read More	Atlantic News Telegraph December 4, 1939 Page 4 ROBERT ANGUS, 81, DIES AT MASSENA Massena, Ia., Dec. 4 - (Special) - Robert Angus, 81, a native of Scotland and pioneer resident of Victoria township, died yesterday afternoon at 12:10 at his home following a lingering illness. He had been in a serious condition since suffering a stroke last Tuesday. Mr. Angus was born in Roxburgshire, Scotland, December 29, 1857, the son of John and Jane Burnett Angus, being one of a family of twelve children. When he was a year old, his parents and their family came to the United States, locating in Marshall county, Illinois where they resided until coming to Cass county in 1870. The first year was spent at Marne and the family then moved to Victoria township, where Mr. Angus had resided since. Surviving are his sister, Miss Violet Angus, with whom he made his home, and a brother, John, of Corning. Mr. Angus was a member of the Victoria township Methodist church and funeral services will be held from the church Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. The Rev. L. C. Hall will officiate and burial will be in the Victoria township cemetery.
