Wilson was relieved of her suffering last Saturday morning, February 17th, when her maker claimed her and ended her earthly existence. Elizabeth Ann Carns was the fourth child of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Carns, of Shawneetown, Wisconsin, where she was born February 12, 1856, and where her girlhood days were spent. On October 21, 1874, she was united in marriage to Theodore D. Wilson, of Georgetown, Wisconsin. The following spring they moved to Williams, Iowa, where they resided until 1880, when they came to Sherman county, Nebraska settling on a farm near Ashton, where they resided over thirty years. In 1910 they moved to Rockville, Nebraska, and remained there for two years, when they moved to Loup City and have resided here until the present time. When 18 years of age she united with the Christian church of Georgetown, Wisconsin. In 1881 she became a charter member of the Presbyterian church of Ashton, where she remained a faithful member until April 14, 1912, when she transferred her membership to the First Presbyterian church of Loup City, where she holds her present membership. Mrs. Wilson has been in failing health for a number of years, having had several severe attacks which came near being fatal. Her last illness was of 12 weeks duration, in which she suffered greatly, yet she bore it with fortitude and patience. Several days before she died she realized that she would not get well and called her loved ones to her side and calmly bid them all good bye and imparted to them in detail the funeral arrangements. She had absolutely no fear of death. To her the sting had been removed, for she trusted implicitly in her Savior. She is survived by her husband, and three children, Mrs, Eva Sutton, of Ashton, Neb., Mrs. Myrtle Paige, of Morrill, Neb., and Theo. Clyde, of Ashton. One daughter, Mrs. Emma Currier having preceeded (sic) her in death. An aged mother, Mrs. Ann Carnes (sic) of Ames, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Jane Brandon, of Fallbrook, Calif., Mrs. Margaret L. Stephens, of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Mrs. Kate Stevens. of Ames, Iowa; four brothers, William A. Carnes, of Halladay, North Dakota, James F. Carnes, of Mountain Home, Idaho, Abraham L. Carnes, of Fauchot, Washington, and John A. Carnes, of Pendleton, Oregon, thirteen grandchildren, besides a host of sorrowing relatives and friends. The casket was literally buried in flowers, which were sent by loved ones and which paid a high tribute to her. The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church on Tuesday afternoon of this week, Rev. E. M. Steen officiating. and the remains were laid in Evergreen cemetery. Relatives from out of town attending the funeral were: Mrs. Kate Stevens, of Ames, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. L. A Wilson and E. E. Wilson of Giltner, Neb., and Mrs. F. W. Schaupps of Lincoln, Neb.
