She passed away at her home on October 19, 1958, at the age of 86 years, 10 months and one day. Mrs. Wilke was baptized in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Postville on April 1, 1872 and confirmed in the same church on April 3, 1887. She was was married to Henry Wilke of Luana on February 21, 1893. To this union were born two children, Wilbert Wilke of Postville and Mabel, Mrs. Walter Meyer of Postville. She was preceeded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, Margaret and Clara, Mrs. Roy Tapper of Monona, and five brothers, Albert and Christ as infants, George of Luana, Henry of Monona, and Charles of Canada. She is survived by her two children, three sisters, Flora, Mrs. R. E. McNally of Postville, Mrs. Katherine Eibel of Chicago, and Emma Ziegler of Monona, one granddaughter, Mrs. Glen Rice of Waukon, one great grandson, Donald Rice of Waukon, a number of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Besides being an active member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Postville since her confirmation over 71 years ago, she was a member of the United Lutheran Church Women for 37 years. Services were held Tuesday, 2:00 p. m., at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the pastor, the Rev. C. E. Witt officiating. Burial was in Postville cemetery.
