Description	:	LAUREL - Elizabeth Isaak Guenthner, 96, of Laurel died Friday morning, March 6, 1992, at the Laurel Care Center. She was a daughter of August and Katherina Isaak, born Nov. 1, 1895, northwest of Hazen, N.D. She married Reinhold Guenthner on Dec. 5, 1915. Mr. Guenthner preceded her in death in 1967. Mrs. Guenthner was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Laurel. She was active in her church as well as in the Laurel community and was known to many as "Grandma." She enjoyed her family, quilting and knitting. She... Read More	LAUREL - Elizabeth Isaak Guenthner, 96, of Laurel died Friday morning, March 6, 1992, at the Laurel Care Center. She was a daughter of August and Katherina Isaak, born Nov. 1, 1895, northwest of Hazen, N.D. She married Reinhold Guenthner on Dec. 5, 1915. Mr. Guenthner preceded her in death in 1967. Mrs. Guenthner was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Laurel. She was active in her church as well as in the Laurel community and was known to many as "Grandma." She enjoyed her family, quilting and knitting. She had made quilts for all of her descendants. She was proud of the fact that five of her sons and two sons-in-law had been in the military. Mrs. Guenthner was preceded in death by her husband; six brothers; three sisters; a daughter, Edna Kay Arthurs; a son, Raymond Guenthner; a grandson, Steward Guenthner; and a great-granddaughter, Billie Jo Guenthner. Three of her children died in infancy. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Frieda Wells of Billings; seven sons, Alvin Guenther of Hazen, N.D., Ted of Mandan, N.D., John of Billings, Harold of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Howard, Byron and Duane all of Laurel, one brother, Art Isaak of Center, N.D.; two sisters, Anna Huber of Hazen, N.D.; 31 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 9, 1992, in St. John's Lutheran Church, Laurel. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Billings. Memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church. Smith-Cashmore Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
