Description	:	Elizabeth M. Jenkins, 93, of ?? Valley Road died at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Salem Community Hospital where she had been a patient for 11 days. Born April 2, 1889, in North Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late John and Ella Oesch Althouse. She and her husband were former owners of Jenkins Nursery in Winona. She was a member of Damascus First United Methodist Church and prior to moving to Damascus 10 years ago, she was a member of the Winona United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and served as junior attendant of Sunday School.... Born April 2, 1889, in North Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late John and Ella Oesch Althouse. She and her husband were former owners of Jenkins Nursery in Winona. She was a member of Damascus First United Methodist Church and prior to moving to Damascus 10 years ago, she was a member of the Winona United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and served as junior attendant of Sunday School. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Salem Chapter 334, for which she served as worthy matron in 1936. She was also a member of Kate Dewees Past Matrons and Patrons Associations of District 13. She served as District Deputy grand matron in 1938 of District 13 of the OES Grand Chapter of Ohio. She was also a member of Past Matrons and Past Associations of the Salem chapter. Mrs. Jenkins was a 60 year member of the Butler Grange and a member of the Sevakeen Country Club. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward M. Jenkins, who died April 13, 1978. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 11, 1961, with over 1,200 people attending. Three sisters and five brothers also preceded her to death. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Leroy (Bertha) Denny and Mrs John (Nelle) Barnett, both of Beloit, Mrs Roy (Minnie) Cope of Leetonia and Mrs Ed (Bernice) Menning of Salem, two brothers, Albert Althouse and Fred Althouse, both of Salem, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Damascus United Methodist Church with the Rev. William Buell, the Rev. Paul Brantingham and the Rev. Herman Strawn officiating. Informal calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the Stark Memorial and the family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. Order of Eastern Star services will be held at 9 p.m. today.
