Snider of United Brethren Church in Lancaster County, Nebraska. ====== Ellen Marie Duey, daughter of Joseph and Amanda Duey was born near Chester, Nebr., July 15, 1897 and departed this life, May 3, 1923, being 25 years, 9 months and 18 days of age. She was married to Sidney B. Gephart, September 8, 1921. She united with the Chester Methodist church (sic) in her girlhood. She Graduated from th (sic) eChester (sic) school with the class of 1917 and from the Green Gables sanitorium (sic) in June, 1920. Her training was finished at Cook County hospital (sic), Chicago. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and little daughter, Betty Jean, also two brothers, Will and Charley of Chester and half-brother, Blaine and step-mother, Mrs. Dorothy Duey of Shippensburg, PA. Her father, mother and two brothers having preceded her to that better world. Her cheerfulness and trust in an all-wise father, during her suffering was a lesson of patience to those about her. The funeral service was held in the Methodist church (sic) on Sunday afternoon, May 6th, Rev. Chas. Burns being in charge of the services. The songs used were of the deceased selection and were beautifully rendered by the choir. The texts likewise were in harmony with her choice. A large number of relatives, friends and school mates were present to pay their respects. The flowers were very beautiful. After the services the body was laid to rest in the Chester cemetery (sic). ====== Mrs. Gebhart (sic) Mrs. Gebhart (sic), 25, daughter of Joe Duey of Chester, died at Lincoln, Nebraska last week and her body was shipped to Chester for burial. The funeral was held from the Chester M.E. church (sic) Sunday with burial in the Chester cemetery (sic). She leaves a five month old baby and other relatives to mourn her departure.
