Stup Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Rebecca Stup, 52 years old, wife of Jesse Eugene Stup, who was killed Monday when she fell down the attic stairs in her home at Kensington, were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Ascension Episcopal Church, Gaithersburg. Burial was in Forest Oak cemetery, Gaithersburg. The heel of Mrs. Stup's shoe is believed to have caught in the step near the top of the flight, precipitating her to the bottom of the stairway, causing a fracture of the skull. She was pronounced dead by Dr. Eugene Jones, of Kensington. Mrs. Stup formerly was a Miss Young, daughter of the late John W. and Anna E. Young, of Frederick, and had lived in Gaithersburg for many years until she recently moved to Kensington. Her husband has for a long time been an employee of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. Mrs. Stup is survived by her husband; two sons, Ross Y. Stup and Gordon A. Stup, two daughters, Mrs. Julia Seiser and Miss Aylice Virginia Stup, all of Kensington, and a granddaughter, Betsy Ross Stup. --- Obituary - The Evening Star (Washington, DC), May 19, 1931: STUP, ELLEN REBECCA.
