Description	:	ELNORA CAROLINA RIEGER was born October 23, 1927 at Athboy, SD to John and Pauline (Sonnenfeld) Rieger. She lived there on the farm until she graduated from Isabel High School in 1947. She taught at the country school until she married Arthur Kolb of Bison, SD in 1948. They lived on the Gottlieb Kolb place until 1957. In the spring of 1957 they bought and moved to the Bill Crocket place on Hwy 73 south of Lemmon, SD. She lived there with Arthur until March of 1980 when Arthur passed away. She lived there on the farm until she graduated from Isabel High School in 1947. She taught at the country school until she married Arthur Kolb of Bison, SD in 1948. They lived on the Gottlieb Kolb place until 1957. In the spring of 1957 they bought and moved to the Bill Crocket place on Hwy 73 south of Lemmon, SD. She lived there with Arthur until March of 1980 when Arthur passed away. She remained there until 1982 when she then moved into Lemmon. She worked at the Five Counties Nursing Home and Thompson Drug Store until 1984. She started work at the Busted T Café as a baker in 1984 and worked there until she retired in 2003. She was very active with St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. She was a life long member of Domestic Kates Extension Club, a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and enjoyed being a part of the Bridge Clubs. Elnora enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed visiting with friends and family. She will always be remembered for enjoying life to its fullest. Elnora passed away early Saturday morning April 21, at Five Counties Nursing Home in Lemmon. Surviving family members include her 2 daughters, Donna Creighton and special friend Bob Wallace, Lemmon, SD; Connie Penny, Presho, SD; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 4 brothers, Herbert Rieger, Wilmar, MN; Ray Rieger, Roseville, MN; Robert Rieger, Lemmon, SD; Oscar Rieger, Rapid City, SD; 2 sisters, Wilma Schopp, Lemmon, SD; Lorraine Schafer, New Leipzig, ND; 1 sister-in-law Alice Ashmore, Lemmon, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur, 2 brothers, a brother Herbert in infancy, and Henry Rieger; 3 sisters, a sister Elnora in infancy, Viola Zimmerman, Virginia Doerr, and a great grandson, Jordan Ashton. Funeral services for Elnora C. Kolb, age 79 of Lemmon, will be Monday, April 23, at St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lemmon. Rev Frank Gantt will officiate with burial in Greenhill Cemetery. A family service will be held Sunday evening at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon. Serving as casketbearers are Arnold Schopp, Dwight Wenner, Chuck Christman, Donald Rieger, Leonard Hay, and Dean Larson.
