Description	:	Elsie Marie Tittle passed away September 6, 2015, at the age of 90. Elsie was a lifelong resident of Waterville, WA until 2013, when she moved to Wenatchee to be closer to family. Elsie was born January 11, 1925, to Charlie and Annetta Osborne in Waterville. After graduating from high school, she attended Deaconess School of Nursing in Wenatchee. Elsie was a lifelong resident of Waterville, WA until 2013, when she moved to Wenatchee to be closer to family. Elsie was born January 11, 1925, to Charlie and Annetta Osborne in Waterville. After graduating from high school, she attended Deaconess School of Nursing in Wenatchee. Before finishing her schooling, she married Robert Britt, and from their marriage, son Gary was born in 1946. In July 1954, Elsie married Alex Tittle, in Waterville, at her parent’s home. In December 1955, they welcomed their daughter Valeria. Elsie and Alex were the epitome of what the term “hard worker” represents. From raising a huge garden, growing beautiful flowers and tomato plants, helping relatives and friends with projects, and continuing her involvement with the Federated Church as a guild member, choir and church board member, she was happily busy. Elsie’s three sister’s and one brother’s families remained in Waterville as well; family gatherings were a priority and a happy, frequent event. With skills in many areas, she worked in several occupations. Elsie used her nursing skills at the Waterville Hospital, provided bookkeeping for Webb Tractor, assistant bookkeeping for Dr. Traubb, DDS; was employed by her sister, Virginia, at Nelson’s Dry Goods Store, and before her retirement, worked in the Douglas County Treasurer’s Office. She and Alex enjoyed many hours at the family cabin, and later at her sister, Alice, and husband, Keith’s, home; both on Lake Chelan. They enjoyed camping in the Methow Valley, huckleberry picking on Snoqualmie Pass, and skiing at Badger Mountain. After their granddaughters were born, they were devoted grandparents. They could be seen at nearly all of their granddaughters’ sports and music events. In later years, growing dahlias became a passion for Elsie, and she joined the Wenatchee Dahlia Society and developed wonderful friendships within the group. She also enjoyed Douglas County Historical Society estate sales and the deeper friendships she developed there. Elsie will be remembered for her generous and giving spirit, love and devotion to her family, her attempts at trying to convince people her way was the “right way”, her special touch in making pies and garlic dill pickles, among other wonderful things. God has brought her home to join her three sisters, which have all passed away within the past year, to complete the choral quartet they started years ago with the Federated Church Choir. They are lifting their voices together, once again, in heavenly praise. Elsie’s husband, Alex; son, Gary; sisters: Virginia (Ward) Nelson, Alice (Keith) Marney, and Mable Knowles; brothers, Roy (Jackie) Osborne and Arthur Osborne, Annetta and Charlie Osborne are rejoicing seeing Elsie again. Elsie’s legacy is continued on by daughter, Val Fischer; husband, Leland; granddaughters, Alexis (Lucas) Beechinor, and Kali Fischer; and great-granddaughter, Emily Beechinor. She is greatly missed, but we rejoice in her restored joy and peace in heaven. The family is grateful to Sunnybrook Adult Family Home for giving Elsie the best quality of life she could possibly have for the past eight months, post broken hip surgery. To Claudia and Rick Bakken, and staff; we have been blessed to be a part of your family, and we greatly appreciate all you did for her. Donations may be made in Elsie’s name to the Waterville Federated Church, Douglas County Historical Society or the Wenatchee Dahlia Society. Services will be held at the Waterville Federated Church Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are assisted by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
