Description	:	Emma Dorothea, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thede, was born at Worms, Nebraska, November 18, 1897, and passed away at her home, October 9, 1942, at the age of 44 years, 10 months and 21 days. She was the oldest child of six children and spent all her days in the Worms community. On June 9, 1918, she was united in marriage to John Meyer and moved on their farm five miles southeast of Palmer which has been their home ever since. Read More	Emma Dorothea, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thede, was born at Worms, Nebraska, November 18, 1897, and passed away at her home, October 9, 1942, at the age of 44 years, 10 months and 21 days. She was the oldest child of six children and spent all her days in the Worms community. On June 9, 1918, she was united in marriage to John Meyer and moved on their farm five miles southeast of Palmer which has been their home ever since. She was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church of Worms and has been a faithful member of this church all her life. She also was a member of the Dorcas Ladies Aid since they first organized. Her father preceded her in death in 1934. Surviving are her husband, one son, Raymond, her mother, four brothers, John and Walter of Palmer, August and Harry of St. Libory, one sister, Mrs. Walter Busch of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and many other relatives and friends. On the day of her death she was doing her work as usual, while her husband was doing some custom work at the home of her mother. Upon coming home at about four o'clock in the afternoon, he found her dead. Upon examination by the family doctor, death was attributed to an acute heart attack. (Funeral details followed.)
