He reached the age of 65 years, 6 months, and 24 days. (Funeral details followed.) Henry Thede was born in Meggerdorf, Schlesig, Holstein, Germany, on April 29, 1869. He was the son of Peter and Anna Thede and immigrated to America in the year 1894, and for one year made his home in and around Waterloo, Iowa. In 1896 he came to Nebraska, and has, since that time, lived on his farm six miles south of Palmer. He was married to Susanna A. Miller Nov. 15, 1896. To this union six children were born. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, two daughters, Mrs. John Meyer, Mrs. Walter Busch, four sons, John, Walter, August and Harry Thede, who all live in the home neighborhood, also 4 grandchildren, one brother at La Porte City, Iowa, two brothers and two sisters proceded him in death in Germany. Mr. Thede had been in poor health for the past few months. He was a good husband and father, a fine neighbor and friend to all those who knew him. His family has the sympathy of a great many friends for the loss of so fine a husband and father.
