Description	:	John Peter Thede was born in Merrick County, southeast of Palmer, July 30, 1899, and departed this life on the morning of Wednesday, October 25, 1951 at the age of 52 years, 2 months and 25 days. He was a son of Henry and Susanna (Miller) Thede. He was baptized by Rev. J. D. Schroeder at Worms on August 27, 1899. He was confirmed into the church on March 16, 1913 by Rev. Wm. Ludwig. On July 17, 1927 he was united in marriage to Esther Leuthaeuser by Rev. F. J. T. Frese at the church in Worms. To this union two children... Read More	John Peter Thede was born in Merrick County, southeast of Palmer, July 30, 1899, and departed this life on the morning of Wednesday, October 25, 1951 at the age of 52 years, 2 months and 25 days. He was a son of Henry and Susanna (Miller) Thede. He was baptized by Rev. J. D. Schroeder at Worms on August 27, 1899. He was confirmed into the church on March 16, 1913 by Rev. Wm. Ludwig. On July 17, 1927 he was united in marriage to Esther Leuthaeuser by Rev. F. J. T. Frese at the church in Worms. To this union two children were born, Dora Mae and Maxine Helen. John suffered an illness extending over two years. He was patient and cheerful and very kind and considerate of his family and those around him. He is survived by his wife, his two daughters, his mother, Mrs. Susanna Thede, three brothers, Walter, August and Harry, all of this community, one sister, Mrs. Walter Busch of Dundee, Michigan, many other relatives and a large number of friends. His father preceded him in death in 1934 and one sister, Mrs. Emma Meyer in 1942. John was held in the highest esteem by his many friends and neighbors and they extend to his bereaved family the utmost sympathy at this time.
