Peter and Paul's Church for Miss Emma Pechan, whose death was mentioned in last week's issue of the Record-Democrat. Rev. Fr. Walter Bruch was celebrant of the requiem Mass. Pallbearers were Charles Cihlar, [..y] Sinek, Jos. Bartosh, John Nedved, Roy Zeman and John Payer. Burial was in Calvary cemetery here. Emma Elizabeth Pechan was born on a farm near Pomeroy, Iowa, July 8, 1888, the daughter of Joseph and Emma Pechan. At the age of one and a half years she moved with her parents to a farm in Roosevelt township where they resided until 1936 when they moved to Pocahontas. Four years ago she fell and since then she has been a semi-invalid. She was in ill health most of her life and was blind for a number of years. During the last three years she was a patient in the Good Samaritan Home here and the Currie Rest Home in Emmetsburg where she died Dec. 4. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Matilda. Her survivors include one brother, Edward Pechan of Pocahontas and one sister, Mrs. Wm. J.
