McMurray Craig at Bern, Kansas on February 28, 1927. She grew up in the Bern area and attended grade and high schools there. She worked in Topeka for 13 years as a waitress in several restaurants and then moved to Iola. She became ill with cancer while living in Iola and came to Sabetha to be near her sisters. McMurray Craig at Bern, Kansas on February 28, 1927. She grew up in the Bern area and attended grade and high schools there. She worked in Topeka for 13 years as a waitress in several restaurants and then moved to Iola. She became ill with cancer while living in Iola and came to Sabetha to be near her sisters. She became a resident of the Apostolic Christian Nursing Home in July where her death came August 6, 1984. Surviving her are three sisters, Idabell Riggs of Clarksdale, Mo., Frances Hylton of Fairview, and Mildred Kehler of Sabetha; one brother, Frank L. Craig, of Topeka. Graveside services were held at the Bern Cemetery on August 8, 1984 at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Nick Maynard of the Sabetha United Brethren in Christ Church officiated. The interment was made in the Bern Cemetery. _____ Note that the Obit Calls her Emma Lucille, but Emma Louise is correct.
