Description	:	Obit from the Sabetha Herald 28 Jun 1966 Mrs. Lucille Craig Lucille Ellen McMurray, daughter of George and Anna McMurray, was born on March 17, 1889 near Lebanon, Kansas, and died at the Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, on June 17, 1966. She was married to Frank L. Craig on May 1, 1918, and two years later they moved to Bern, Kansas, where she has been a resident until the time of her passing. Read More	Obit from the Sabetha Herald 28 Jun 1966 Mrs. Lucille Craig Lucille Ellen McMurray, daughter of George and Anna McMurray, was born on March 17, 1889 near Lebanon, Kansas, and died at the Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, on June 17, 1966. She was married to Frank L. Craig on May 1, 1918, and two years later they moved to Bern, Kansas, where she has been a resident until the time of her passing. To this union were born four daughters: Ida Bell Riggs of Clarksdale, Mo., Francis Hylton of Sabetha, Kansas, Mildred Kehler of Bern and Emma Matthews of Topeka, and one son, Frank Craig of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 23, 1943, and one brother, Albert. She leaves to mourn her passing her four daughters, her son, twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two brothers: Percy of California and Charles of Gary, Indiana; eight sisters: Charlott Carter, Chicago; Elizabeth Reed of California, Evelyn Bell and Nell Roland, both of Lincoln, Neb., Marturette Caldwell of Omaha, Vivian Cory and Adeline Hunt, both of California, Madaline Graves of Topeka and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Memorial services were conducted for her in the Bern Evangelical United Brethren Church of which she was a member, on Tuesday June 21, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Karl Kuglin in charge of the services. Mrs. Howard Harter was organist and accompanied Mrs Charles Streit, soloist, who sang "Rock of Ages" and "Beyond the Sunset". Pallbearers were Robert Turner, Bill Strahm, Bill Andres, Tony Rasmussen, Jim Sheik and Ben Leuthold. The American Legion Auxiliary Post 326, of which she was an active member, honored their departed friend by sitting in a group, and then laying a bouquet of the "Poppys" on the caskset at the cemetery while a prayer was read in her behalf by Mrs. Bill Gugelman. Interment was in the Bern cemetery and Popkess Funeral Home was in charge.
