She attended St. Paul's Parochial School in rural Arlington and lived in Arlington, Fremont and North Bend before moving to Hooper where she has lived for the last twenty years. Mrs. Stork belonged to St. John's Lutheran Church in Hooper and Ladies Aid. Emma M. Laaker married Edward W. C. Stork on April 4, 1918 in Arlington. He died on January 25, 1962.
