Description	:	Mrs. Emma Troudt Walker was born in Morca, Russia, August 14, 1852, and passed away in Nelson, Nebraska, June 25, 1940, at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 11 days. She was married to George Troudt in March, 1871, and to this union were born eight sons and seven daughters, one son and two daughters passing away in infancy. Mrs. Elizabeth Heinrich, her second daughter, passed away January 3, 1940. She with her husband and family came to American in 1891, and made their home in the Nelson vicinity. Read More	Mrs. Emma Troudt Walker was born in Morca, Russia, August 14, 1852, and passed away in Nelson, Nebraska, June 25, 1940, at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 11 days. She was married to George Troudt in March, 1871, and to this union were born eight sons and seven daughters, one son and two daughters passing away in infancy. Mrs. Elizabeth Heinrich, her second daughter, passed away January 3, 1940. She with her husband and family came to American in 1891, and made their home in the Nelson vicinity. The husband passed on in 1906. She was confirmed into the Terman Lutheran church in Morca, Russia, when a girl, and retained her affiliation with that church until the time of her death. She worshipped regularly with other denominations when the church of her choice was not convenient. She married Henry Walker in November, 1919, who passed on in July, 1932. After his death she made her home with her children. She leaves to mourn her passing the eleven children: Mrs. George Jacoby and Mrs. Katie Meetz of Nelson; Mrs. C.H. Cole of Santa Monica, California; Henry of Lincoln; Adams and George, Nelson; Conrad, Wymore; John, Mrs. Margaret Koontz, Ed and Billy Troudt, Nelson; also 43 grand children and 25 great grand children; and a host of friends. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. John Caldwell Thursday afternoon at two o'clock in the Presbyterian church (sic). Interment was made in the Nelson cemetery (sic). Even death has its wonderful mission Though it robs us of those we love; It draws us from our surroundings To long for the meeting above. So take her in thine arms, dear Lord, And ever let her be A messenger of strongest love Between our hearts and Thee.
