She was the daughter of Joni and Mary (Borntrager) Plank. She was baptized in the Old Order Amish Church in her youth. On May 15, 1941 she was united in marriage to Samuel J. Overholt in Arthur, IL. The couple lived and farmed in the Kalona area. Survivors include three children, Ida Mae and husband Enos Helmuth, Arthur, Illinois, Ruby Ann and husband Simon T. Miller and Joseph Overholt and wife Laura, Kalona, IA, 23 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters Fannie Kauffman, Syracuse, IN and Mary Ann Mast, Arthur, IL, one sister-in-law, Leah Plank, Crofton, KY and one brother-in-law Willis Miller, Milroy, IN, one sister-in-law, Susie Miller, Belen, NM, Preceding her in death were her husband in April 2003, parents, and brothers, Dan, Jake, Bill, Lonnie, Joni, and John and sisters Lizzie, Barbara and Anna Mae.
