Description	:	Emma Johns, 88, Bismarck, died Feb. 22, 2006, at a local care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at Faith Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Wes Aardahl officiating. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. in the Glueckstal Cemetery, south of Tappen. Emma Werre Johns was born to Jacob and Katherine (Kaiser) Werre Jan. 25, 1918. She was baptized in February of 1918, at Glueckstal Lutheran Church south of Tappen, by the Rev. Burrock, confirmed in Streeter by the Rev. Emma Werre Johns was born to Jacob and Katherine (Kaiser) Werre Jan. 25, 1918. She was baptized in February of 1918, at Glueckstal Lutheran Church south of Tappen, by the Rev. Burrock, confirmed in Streeter by the Rev. John Gill in 1932, and attended grade school in Kidder County. Emma moved to Bismarck in 1944, where she worked at various eating places. She was known for her homemade pizza and because of that owned two pizza parlors. She married Lucian Albert Johns in 1949. Emma became a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church in 1949, where she was active in the Sunday School program for the next 36 years. She was also in mission work for many years, a member of the senior citizens, volunteered at the Abused Adult Resource Center, a life member of the North Dakota Association of the Blind and Germans from Russia. Her family, neighbors and many friends will miss her. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, MeriCathryn and Michael Rauser, Bismarck; her grandson, Justin and his fiance, Veronica; her granddaughter, Kristina; her sisters, Anna Martin, Bismarck, Frieda (Walter) Martin, Bismarck, and Mathilda Zimmerman, Fargo; one sister-in-law, Emma Werre, Bismarck; and many nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Katherina and Jacob Werre; three sisters, Mary Strobel, Adelia Adams and Hertha Oster; four brothers, Christ, Arthur J., George and Edward Werre; two sisters-in-law, Alva Padgett and Esther Werre; and six brothers-in-law, Fred Martin, Gottlieb Oster, Jacob Zimmerman, Dan Strobel, August Doerr and Lee Adams.
