Burial will be in Glueckstal Cemetery, Tappen. Hertha Rosina Werre was born on July 10, 1909, in Kidder County, the daughter of Jacob and Katherina (Kaiser) Werre. Hertha Rosina Werre was born on July 10, 1909, in Kidder County, the daughter of Jacob and Katherina (Kaiser) Werre. Hertha married Gottlieb Oster on Nov. 13, 1928. They farmed south of Tappen from 1928 until 1950. They then moved to Bismarck in 1951. Hertha was employed with G.P. Hotel, Bismarck Hospital and Woodhouse Cafe. She did volunteer work and was active in directing choir for the German Singers. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and active in church organizations, especially Friendship Circle. Her hobbies included crocheting and quilting. She is survived by her husband, Gottlieb; her children, Harry and JoAnn Oster, Lorraine and Clayton Maw, Arthur and Jeanette Oster, Delores and Leo Dockter, Shirley and Glenn Schulz, and Deborah Oberlander and Randy Diede, all of Bismarck, and Vernon and Linda Oster, Des Allemands, La.; 30 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Anna Martin, Frieda Martin, Mathilda Zimmerman and Emma Johns. She was preceded in death by her parents, Katherina and Jacob Werre; her daughter, Irene Chmielewski; two great-grandchildren, Daniel Cole Lacher and Nicole Coggins; two sisters, Mary Strobel and Adelia Adams; and four brothers, Christ Werre, Arthur J.
