Thomas is named in his father's will of 1739-40 in the manner of "to my sons Israel Robinson, Peter Robinson and Thomas Robinson and Simeon Robinson and Benjamin Robinson and Isaac Robinson, I give them nothing and that because I have given them their full portions already in lands as may appear by deeds to them from and by me..." In the Town of Windham deed records is a separate deed of gift to Thomas dated Dec. 31, 1726 from his father Peter Robinson [Windham Deeds F:346-347.] In the Windham County Court term of June 22, 1731, Thomas Robinson of Windham was charged by D.D. Rex, the county sheriff, with "lascivious carriage." The surety for Thomas' release and appearance was provided by his brother, Simeon Robinson [Abstracts of Windham County Court Records, Vol. 1, 1726-1732, pp. 500-501, (Marcella H. Pasay, Heritage Books 2000, p.141)]. Thomas' bond was thereafter forfeited to the benefit of Richard Abbe, Windham's Treasurer, per the Dec. 14, 1731 court session (ibid., Court record 1:507, Pasay p. 143), and was still unpaid by the Feb. 22, 1731/32 court session (ibid., Court record 1:559, Pasay p. 157). Simultaneous with the bond, at the Court session of Dec. 14, 1731 Simon Lothrop of Norwich sued Thomas Robinson of Windham over a debt (ibid., Court record 1:521, Pasay p. 147). In Oct. 1750, Thomas Robinson of Windham received appointment as Ensign of the 2nd company or train(ing) band of Windham by order of the Connecticut Colony Assembly [CCR 9:555]. He was well into his seventh decade in age at the time of the American Revolution. In circa 1724, Thomas m. 1) "Annah," whose full identity remains unknown. She d. Oct. 16, 1769 at Windham, Conn., Æ 71 (g.s.) and was the mother of all of her husband's children. On Feb. 8, 1770 at Windham, Thomas m. 2) Abigail Tobey, the widow of Ensign Dimock, dau. of Jonathan Tobey and Remember Perry, b. May 28, 1713 at Sandwich, Mass. She d. Nov. 9, 1790 at Windham, Æ 77 (g.s.). There were no children of this second marriage. The children of Thomas Robinson and first wife Annah, all born of record at Windham, Conn. are: • i. Reuben Robinson, b. Jan. 17, 1724/5 (bapt. Apr. 17, 1726 at Preston, Conn.); m. Jan. 12, 1748/9 at the Scotland Society Chh., then in Windham, Esther Palmer, dau. of Seth Palmer and Elizabeth Cary, b. June 1, 1730 at Windham. Nine children of the family. • ii. Asa Robinson, b. Oct. 17, 1726 (bapt. Feb. 26, 1726/7 at Windham), d. Dec. 24, 1811 at Windham, Æ 86; m. Oct. 25, 1749 at Windham, Mary French, dau. of Abner French and Sarah Sluman, b. July 26, 1726 at Norwich, Conn. She d. at Windham Sept. 2, 1808, Æ 83 (see their g.s. at Old Scotland Cem.). Eight children of the family. • iii. Abiah Robinson, b. May 16, 1728 (bapt. July 14 at Windham), d. Jan. 23, 1805 at Windham, Æ 77; m. Oct. 31, 1754 at the Scotland Soc. Chh., then in Windham, her 1st cousin Lieut. Jonah Palmer, s. of Elihu Palmer and Abigail Robinson. He was b. July 23, 1731 at Windham and d. there Apr. 12, 1802, Æ 71. Nine children of the family. • iv. Anna Robinson, b. Mar. 17, 1729/30 (bapt. May 3, 1730 at Windham), d. Sept. 3, 1805 at Windham, Æ 76; m. Oct. 26, 1749 at the Scotland Soc. Chh., then in Windham, her 2nd cousin Ebenezer Luce, s. of Josiah Luce and Sarah Allen. He was b. Jan. 27, 1726/7 at Windham and d. there July 31, 1794, Æ 68. Eleven children of the family. Ebenezer's father was the younger brother of Israel Luce, whose wife was Grace Baker, dau. of Samuel and Fear (Robinson) Baker of Hull and Barnstable, Mass. • v. Anne Robinson, b. May 1 (bapt. June 23) 1733 at Windham); m. 1) Apr. 16, 1755 at the Scotland Society Chh., then in Windham, David Rindge. No further family information can be found regarding any children by this marriage. Anne m. 2) Jan. 31, 1792 at the Scotland Soc. Chh. as his 3rd wife, William Cushman, s. of Josiah Cushman and Sarah Shurtleff, b. Feb. 26, 1723/4 at Plympton, Mass. There are no known children of this marriage. William Cushman's 2nd wife was Ruth Robinson, Anne's paternal aunt. • vi. Levi Robinson, b. Mar. 18, 1735/6, d. an infant Mar. 9, 1738/9.
