At the age of two years his parents removed with him to Ottawa county, this state, and to Glasco, Cloud county, when he was 15 years old where he lived to the time of his death. Deceased was the eldest son of Mr. Chester W. and Felicia Converse, and was born at Junction City, Kansas. At the age of two years his parents removed with him to Ottawa county, this state, and to Glasco, Cloud county, when he was 15 years old where he lived to the time of his death. He was married to Miss Ida G. Anderson, June 22nd, 1898, and the bride of only a few months remains heartbroken to mourn her loss. She has the full and loving sympathy of a host of friends, as well as the dear mother and other relatives who are left behind. But in view of the better life that lies before, we need not sorrow. The dearly loved son, husband and brother was fully prepared to go. He united with the Presbyterian church several months before his sickness and death, and was a true Christian. The writer of this was his pastor and knew his heart's best wishes and hopes for a better world. He was universally beloved. As his won pastor was absent to attend his own mother's burial, Rev. L.H. Shane, of Beloit, officiated at the funeral on the 3rd, and preached a tender and instructive sermon. The burial took place at the Glasco cemetery. Thus has passed away a bright spirit, a loving son and husband, and a dear friend to all who knew him. The family return their thanks to all who assisted in the sickness and at the funeral.
