Anderson was born January 8, 1910, in Stratford, the son of David and Bessie Anderson. On November 28, 1975, he married Ann Stohr Larson at her home. For the past 30 years he was the rural route mail carrier for the Stratford post office. He also owned and operated the Anderson Seed Store from 1952-1975. Anderson was associated as a salesman with the Pioneer Seed Corn Company at one time and also worked for a period for International Harvester and the Stratford Co-op. He was a member of the Stratford Lutheran Church and the Masonic Lodge, Acron Chapter, of Stratford. Anderson, a graduate of Stratford in 1928, later served on the board of directors of the Stratford School District. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Roberta, his daughter, Karen Rae Paul, and his father and brother. Survivors include his wife, Ann of Stratford; a daughter and son-in-law, Richard and Dee Anderson of Gladstone, Oregon; two step-daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Donna) Carlson of Stratford and Mrs. Harold (Carol) Bonnstetter of West Bend; two stepsons, Larry Larson of Ottawa, Kansas and Donald Larson of Ann Arbor, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; one son-in-law, Donald Paul of Stratford; his mother, Bessie Anderson of Stratford; four sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Helen) Burgeson of Des Moines, Eileen Larson of Stratford, Mrs. Herman (Mary) Larson of Lehigh and Mrs. Harry (Eunice) Borg of Pleasantville, NY; his father-in-law, Burt Wilson of Stratford; nieces and nephews.
