Ralph Bringewatt was in charge, with burial in Fairview cemetery. Mr. Wendt was one of the oldest pioneers of this section and was widely known throughout the entire community. Read More	RITES HELD FOR ERNEST WENDT Funeral services for Ernest Wendt, 71, were conducted Monday from the Baker funeral home. Rev. Ralph Bringewatt was in charge, with burial in Fairview cemetery. Mr. Wendt was one of the oldest pioneers of this section and was widely known throughout the entire community. He was born in Germany on May 24th, 1878. When he was two hears old he came to America with his father and they settled at Wisner, Nebraska. In 1885, he came with his father and stepmother to Sheridan county, where they settled on a homestead just north of Rushville. He remained in this community until his death, May 19th at the Rushville Community Hospital. He leaves four half sisters: Annie Smith, of California; Martha Pahl, of Bristow, Nebraska; Lena Colemen, of Astoria, Oregon; and Minnie Fry, of Spencer, Nebr.
