Description	:	ESTHER KATHERINE (Williams) KAHLER DEROSIA Esther was born on to William "Bill" and Katherine (Michel) Williams in Sedgwick, CO. When Esther was nine years old, she moved with her family to Nebraska; living in Omaha, Grand Island, Wood River, Fort Calhoun and Bennington. Read More	ESTHER KATHERINE (Williams) KAHLER DEROSIA Esther was born on to William "Bill" and Katherine (Michel) Williams in Sedgwick, CO. When Esther was nine years old, she moved with her family to Nebraska; living in Omaha, Grand Island, Wood River, Fort Calhoun and Bennington. In Bennington Esther met and married Orval Kahler on March 4, 1944. In 1949 they moved to Cass County where they farmed for eleven years. While on the farm Esther taught Sunday school at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, was a 4-H leader, Cass County Chairperson for the American Red Cross, and she raised cattle, hogs and chickens which Esther and her mother dressed and delivered. Esther and Orval were charter members of the J.C.s and were involved with the Kass Kounty King Korn Karnival as participants with floats, judges and chair people. In 1960 the Kahler's bought property in Plattsmouth and Orval became a contractor. Esther went to cosmetology school and built a beauty shop and later added onto the building to house a health spa with an indoor pool. Orval passed away in 1984; Esther kept herself busy by becoming a Social consultant in Bellevue, NE, President of the Kass Kounty King Korn Karnival, President of Lepert Wolever V.F.W. Post #2543 Auxiliary and attended Bellevue University all at the same time. In 1997 Esther married Lt. Colonel Raymond DeRosia (retired). They traveled a great deal to visit relatives and friends. Raymond passed away in 1999. Esther went back to work; was President of the Kass Kounty King Korn Karnival and Lepert Wolever V.F.W. Post #2543 Auxiliary both for a second time. She worked in a restaurant and spent many hours with grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she worshipped. Esther was a Deacon and Trustee at St. Paul's United Church of Christ for many years.
