Her little life was like a new born star that illuminated the horizon in which she lived. Read More	Died - Fairfield - On July 23d, 1879, of congestive chills, Ethel, Daughter of Joseph and Lena Fairfield, aged six months and six days. Her little life was like a new born star that illuminated the horizon in which she lived. In the brightest, happiest moment of all her voyage, she was lost in chaos, and that dreamless sleep that kissed her little eyelids down. Her ringing cherub laugh drowned every fretful fiend of care, and even in her latest breath, she used the tinseled brush of death, to touch the art of living pure. She died in the arms of the loved and loving, passing away as gentle, as the autumn winds would turn a withered leaf, and while the shadows of life were falling toward the West and scarce had reached a half a span. Budding with flowers, they are blooming still. By the budding twigs, and swelling leaves; the sprouting grass, and the spreading forest; by the songs of birds, and the sweet perfumes of gentle flowers, by the throbs of love, and all the sweet influences of nature we bid her sacred dust adieu.
